DAVID ROBERTS

He first became interested in aviation, in 2008, when quite by surprise a professional colleague offered to take him to Narromine. The experience of sitting next to the pilot had such an effect, he immediately commenced flying lessons. He obtained his private pilot’s license in2013 when he commenced cruising around the state and interstate, covering many intrastate and interstate destinations. He now has 760 hours experience.

 

Having learned to fly and with the love of flying he has developed, when he learned about Angel Flight, he couldn’t get aboard soon enough. He is now an Angel Flight pilot, which he will tell you more about.

 

In his working life. He joined the Bank of New South Wales in 1962 where he remained for 20 years. During that time, he studied law and was admitted as a solicitor in 1983. He worked in private Practise. In 2002, he was admitted to the Bar and he still has Chambers in Phillip Street.

 

He is married with 2 step children, one foster child And 5 grandchildren.

 

Other interests include, sailing, cycling music and reading. He has sailed the eastern seaboard of Australia, Batemans Bay to Cairns and cycled from Tweed Heads to Hornsby, among some shorter trips.

 

He owns a Cirrus aircraft, which he uses on Angel Flight missions.
