Our Club held its Annual General Meeting and 8th Birthday Party on Sunday 3 November in Parramatta.
We reviewed and approved minutes of last year's meeting, approved the annual accounts for the 2018-19 financial year, and elected next year's board of directors for the club.
We also heard from District Governor Kalma about her background and key issues for the District going forward.

- The meeting was called to order by President Kian Safaei.
- President Kian reviewed the minutes of the meeting on 7 October 2018.Alacoque Welsh moved, and Marilyn Mercer seconded a motion to approve the minutes.Carried unanimously.
- The auditor’s report for the 2018-2019 was circulated to all members.IPP Oscar Akparanta reviewed the report, and responded to queries from the members.Ross Johnson moved, and Oscar Akparanta seconded a motion to approve the financial report.Carried unanimously.
- The Secretary David Dean announced that no formal nominations were submitted prior to the meeting, but that several people had indicated informally a willingness to serve on the Board.President Kian Safaei sought nominations from the floor, which were moved and seconded for each position and approved unanimously for the financial year beginning in July 2020:

- A motion was made and seconded to reappoint BW Accounting as the Club Auditor for another year.Carried unanimously.
- IPP Oscar Akparanta informed the AGM attendees that the Board has conferred Honorary Membership on Margaret Dean for the 2019/2020 year.He also announced that Lucy Hobgood-Brown was recognised in 2018/19 with the Judy Croll Award as Rotarian of the Year for 2018/19.DG Kalma presented the award to Lucy.
- President Kian Safaei opened the floor for general discussion of fund raising and dues.The members voted to increase the club dues for the 2020/21 financial year to $160 per half year, with $10 of this fee to be allocated to the club’s Service Account to assist with service activities.
- At 1.45 pm the President declared the Annual General Meeting closed.
