Although this s addressed to me, it is really to the club as a whole.

Dear Dudley,

My name is Janepher and I am the Director of Community and Welfare at School for Life in Uganda. I want to personally thank you for your incredible support to the children and the communities we serve.

Education has changed my life and thanks to your support we are seeing it change the futures for many children in Uganda.

I attended a private school in Uganda, but at 16 years old, I was orphaned and sent to live with my grandmother.

My new school had untrained teachers and no running water or windows in my classroom. I had no money and no access to food all day.

I wanted more! I began working after school and weekends so I could afford to put myself through a private high school. I was determined to change my future.

Fast forward to years of hard work, I trained as a teacher and I’ve been with School for Life since the beginning (2010!). But my future didn't always look this way.

Right now we have 350 new students, without sponsorship support. Many are starting out just like I did, determined to change their futures.

Christine knows first hand the benefit of your support. Christine has been with School for Life since she started Kindergarten in 2012. Against all odds she graduated primary school at the top of her class and she has now started high school with us. She dreams of becoming a school teacher and building a new school in her community.

But none of this would have been possible without the generous support of her sponsor family in Australia - people just like you!

"It is rewarding to be given the opportunity to help and support girls like Christine who have so much potential,” the Priestley family shared.
