Emmanuel has developed a project to assist African refugees and migrants in the Sydney area.
Please help us support African refugees and migrants in the Sydney area who are suffering due to COVID19. Some have lost employment, while others have lost housing. This project is called “Fill a Bag with Kindness”, and has been initiated by eClub member Emmanuel Musoni, chair of the non-profit Great Lakes Agency for Peace and Development www.glapd.org. GLAPD provides resettlement and support services for refugees and migrants from Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Kenya.
Needed are non-perishable foods, sanitary items, baby wipes and nappies. Please drop these items at the non-profit Great Lakes Peace and Development Agency’s office, 1A Terminal Place, Merrylands NSW 2170, between 10 am-4 pm, Monday to Friday.
If you have accommodation available or if you prefer to donate money to help cover housing costs, 2 options are possible: (1) through GLAPD’s website www.glapd.org or (2) to GLAPD’s account: BSB 082-429 /Acct No 39-612-2628 (please designate COVID19 and GLAPD will facilitate distribution based on priority needs).
